The University of Miami's Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Department of Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Associate. This position will be involved in major aspects of research projects in any one of a number of disciplines, including but not limited to, cellular and molecular biology, oncology and immunology as well as animal handling and other related experience. The Postdoctoral Associate must possess advanced knowledge and be capable of exercising considerable latitude for independent judgment, performing non-routine and complex laboratory duties requiring advanced technical skills and proficiency for divisional faculty. This position will receive general supervision from the Principal Investigator of the laboratory.

The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D. or M.D. required in Microbiology and Immunology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Oncology or a closely related field of study. Candidates must have successfully defended their thesis to be eligible for consideration. Computer proficiency using Microsoft PowerPoint, Corel Draw and other graphics software is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong command of the English language.

Patient safety is a top priority.
