Job Description Responsibilities Develop, populate, update and maintain as-is and to-be views using WMATA's Enterprise Architecture repository Under the direction of the Chief Enterprise Architect, configure the WMATA Enterprise Architecture repository to reflect WMATA's Enterprise Architecture framework and meta-model Assist customer teams responsible for IT projects in mapping their IT project components to the WMATA enterprise architecture framework and importing the component data and relationships into the repository Coordinate work to ensure alignment of IT projects with WMATA Enterprise Architecture Framework, IT strategy, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), strategic drivers and standards Prepare as-is and to-be application architecture artifacts including system connection diagrams, application reference models, software requirements documents, interface descriptions, data dictionaries and application staging plans using the enterprise architecture repository modeling capabilities Prepare as-is and to-be IT infrastructure artifacts including schematics to describe datacenters, networks, redundancy, failover, disaster recovery, storage, messaging, monitoring and other IT infrastructure components and environments using enterprise architecture repository modeling capabilities Gather enterprise architecture data and information from IT and business stakeholders through interviews, data imports, IT governance processes and IT asset inventory reports Minimum Requirements Exceptional enterprise architecture repository development and configuration skills Exceptional enterprise architecture repository population, modeling and diagrammatic skills Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Communications, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience Experience using Microsoft Visio or other data or application visualization software to document enterprise architectures Experience using Microsoft Excel to perform basic software requirements documentation Familiarity with MS Word and MS PowerPoint Experience coordinating software requirements and working with development teams Experience as an Enterprise Architecture repository subject matter expert using the FEAF or TOGAF for a large organization Experience using an Enterprise Architecture repository such as Telelogic, Metis or Abacus to document enterprise architecture transition plans Preferred Requirements Experience using the Abacus Enterprise Architecture repository to document relationship of application architectures to enterprise architecture Formal training in organization development, complex systems analysis, group facilitation or information systems requirements analysis Experience in the transit industry Experience with the ITS architecture framework Experience with the Gartner ERP architecture framework Experience Levels Senior level, with nine (9) or more years' experience (EA Tool Expert)
