Client, an information technology and federal consulting company with excellent benefits, has a new 5-year contract and has immediate openings for Network Engineers to support the vital mission of a high profile Federal client based in Washington, DC.
Help Desk Technicians (Intermediate). Maintain customer interface to Cisco based Local Area, Wide Area, and Data Center network for a large enterprise network
As a government contractor as part of a systems and network operations team duties will be widely variable. Supports day-to-day operations by serving as tier one and two help desk staff for Windows and UNIX based systems on three "air-gap" networks. Supports customer inquiries and Citrix XenServer and MS HYPER-V based server utilization and Citrix XenApp based session virtualization. Support Citrix Netscaler gateway to enable employees to telework securely and ensure bureau compliance with federal COOP requirements. Write and maintain scripts to automate help desk, security and operation functions and increase their day-to-day efficiency. Interact with customers to determine needs and requirements. Identification and escalation of customer problems concerning the (1) configuration, installation, and support to Routers and switches; (2) Installation and patching servers at off-site Data Center; (3) Network performance and connectivity issues; (4) Checkpoint Firewall and RSA issues; (5) Microsoft Windows and Exchange Server issues; and (6) Polycom Video Teleconferencing problems and scheduling .
Associate Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or Telecommunication plus 1 years experience as Help Desk Technician; or 2 years experience as a Help Desk Technician.
US citizenship required. Top Secret clearance is mandatory.
