Summer research assistants will work with faculty in the Cognitive Neuroscience Group (CNG) to prepare stimuli; collect data using behavioral, electrophysiological (EEG), and eye tracking methods; and enter and analyze data. Training will be provided, as these are entry-level RA positions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Assist with stimulus development for research studies of language and cognition
2) Enter, organize, and analyze data
3) Collect data using a variety of methods (behavioral, eye tracking, EEG)
4) Perform literature searches
5) Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
RAs will work in lab and office space on the campus of the MGH IHP in the Charlestown Navy Yard.
Training / Time Required To Learn Job Responsibilities:
Given the nature of the entry-level RA experience, RAs will be learning skills throughout the course of their employment. Training will be particularly intensive during the first 1-2 weeks.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
Entry-level RAs must be current undergraduate students. Training will be provided; no specific experience is required.
Skills / Abilities / Competencies:
Administrative Skills- RAs must be organized, punctual, and communicate effectively in both spoken and written English.
Technical Skills- Entry-level RAs general familiarity with word processing, using spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel), and performing literature searches (e.g., using Pubmed).
