Specialist, Marketing and Sales Analytics

Key Goals & Objectives

• Create and maintain marketing and sales reporting to support key stakeholders and decision makers using data from multiple sources

• Build processes, automation, and visualizations to help stakeholders effectively understand performance in their functional areas

• Perform basic analysis to provide insights to the sales and marketing teams that support business goals, objectives, and initiatives


• Drive the development of automated reporting and performs analysis of sales and marketing metrics in order to allow stakeholders to leverage this information to track business goals, objectives and strategies in both online and offline channels

• Create and distribute department specific reports for various global B2B and B2C functions that measure KPIs and performance for marketing and sales initiatives

• Manage internal reporting and support to member hotels by providing ad hoc access to various data sets; this includes the development of new reports, queries and analyses

• Supports department managers by providing data and analytical support for various projects

• Execute and improve data quality processes to ensure the data is readily available, relevant, consistent and accurate

• Continuously improve, automate and streamline the reporting process by defining reporting parameters and establishing accuracy / "zero sum" checks

• Create and regularly distribute visual marketing and sales dashboard reports that combine data from multiple sources, including weekly performance reports and monthly marketing dashboard

Requirements & Experience

• 1+ Years of Analytical Experience Required, either through coursework, an internship, or prior work experience

• Bachelor's degree required. Degree in marketing, finance, economics, or statistics highly desirable.

• Experience in hospitality or travel industry is a plus.

Skills & Abilities

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail.

• Experience with Microsoft Excel required; SAS or SPSS experience a plus.

• Experience creating SQL queries preferred; knowledge of relational databases and the tools and languages to access, manipulate and display that data.

• Ability to automate reporting processes that combines data from multiple sources.

• Experience with enterprise BI and dashboard reporting tools, such as Tableau, Cognos, or SSRS highly desirable.

• Experience with web analytics tools a plus (i.e. Google Analytics, Omniture SiteCatalyst, etc).

• High energy self-starter with the ability to think and work independently.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively (and collaboratively) deliver results in cross-functional teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skill;

• Ability to multi-task and work on projects simultaneously, while delivering them timely and accurately.

• Ability to evaluate and change priorities daily and to perform efficiently within a fast paced team environment.

• Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and all individuals across the organization.

• Ability to represent/demonstrate LHW core values.
