Job Description
The Department of Sport and Entertainment Management (SPTE) at the University of South Carolina invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the assistant /associate/ full professor level. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in sport/entertainment marketing. In addition to teaching responsibilities, engagement in scholarly activities is required. The individual will be responsible for mentoring both undergraduate and graduate students. The successful candidate will also provide service that is beneficial to the department, college, and university. Expectation will be placed on helping to increase the national and international recognition and reputation of the department. Candidates must be student-oriented and possess strong leadership skills conducive to building the premier program in sport and entertainment management.

Minimum Qualifications
Earned Ph.D. in sport/entertainment management, marketing, or the equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
Ability to teach either sport/entertainment finance or event management. Demonstration of strong record of excellent research and teaching, proven ability to generate external funding, and possess outstanding national/international reputation.
