Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, this position has primary responsibility for the development, implementation, management and evaluation of the centralized admissions application system and related operations that support campus undergraduate admissions processing on all campuses. The University receives over 200,000 individual applications each year and admissions processing is one of the most important and visible ways the University interfaces with the public. Admissions application processing serves as the basis for Universitywide and campus-based undergraduate admissions and supports campus enrollment goals.

As a senior member of the Student Affairs Admissions unit, the position (1) provides oversight and leadership in the planning, development and implementation of the University's admissions application systems policies and procedures;(2) initiates new technology initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of admissions processes; (3) manages critical, time-sensitive on-going operations that support admissions processing; (4) interfaces with applicants, their parents, high school and community college advisors and faculty, and other members of the public on a broad variety of issues related to the University's admissions policies and application processing, specifically; (5) analyzes outcomes and operations in light of policy objectives; and (6) communicates complex admissions-related information to key stakeholders, including the senior leadership at UCOP and campuses, campus Admissions and Admissions Systems Directors, and the Board of Admissions and Relations with Schools. Coordinates with Universitywide and campus representatives, external agencies, such as College Board, intersegmental committees, and others on a broad array of admissions policies, operations, and technology.
