We invite candidates to apply for our Instructor Computer Science position. The Instructor will maintain continued competence in assigned and related areas. In addition, will maintain a good working relationship with students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. He or she will assist in the college's recruitment and retention efforts and will also assist with college governance by serving periodically on college committees. The Instructor will observe college rules/regulations and state guidelines appropriate to faculty responsibilities also will teach wherever and whenever assigned as determined by instructional needs including branch centers and dual enrollment courses in district high schools. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core value of Service Excellence; respect, competence, responsiveness, and collaboration, in all interactions.

REQUIREMENTS Master's Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in teaching discipline. Ability to demonstrate the four College Service Excellence Standards of respect, competence, responsiveness and collaboration when interacting with students, employees, visitors, and community members. Preference will be given to candidates holding industry certifications with a desire to teach programming (Python, C++, Java). This position will have the exciting responsibility of designing the college’s programming and application development track.  We seek candidates with a proven record of software development and a passion to share that knowledge with the next generation of developers.
