This includes maintaining a safe environment, assuring that patients' dental needs are address in a caring, confidential, timely and thorough manner, that patients are informed about their treatment and clinic procedures, and those patients' finances are handled accurately and efficiently.
The Implant and Hygiene centers consist of faculty, residents and hygienists who treat patients by providing ongoing periodontal care and who place and restore dental implants. The Hygiene center is designed to allow TUSDM to provide ongoing hygiene recare to our population of patients. The Implant center is associated with a 2-year implant training fellowship program, which enrolls residents who provide clinical care under faculty supervision.
This position is responsible for managing a staff of patient registration coordinators, dental assistants, dispensary assistants and other clinic staff that support the overall operations of the Hygiene and Implant centers. This includes, but is not limited to, patient registration, scheduling, communicating with patients on treatment plans and financial plans, and inventory management of the clinics. The individual will be responsible for developing and implementing operational procedures to support the clinical operations and monitor and measure performance.
• BA/BS and 3+ years of experience or High School Diploma and 5+ years of experience in a dental, medical or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of dental terminology
• Preferred: certification(s) in billing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
