RESEARCH SPECIALIST A
Duties: A full-time position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Murray Grossman in the Department of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania. This lab focuses on cognitive neuroscience and clinical questions relating to language, memory, and neurodegenerative disease (e.g., primary progressive aphasia, behavioral variant frontotemporal degeneration, Alzheimer's). Applicant responsibilities will include cognitive testing of patients and healthy seniors, collection of imaging data, preliminary statistical analyses, database management and participation in studies that relate cognition to imaging and biofluids. This position will provide a strong foundation for individuals interested in continuing their education in graduate or medical school.
Position is contingent on continued funding.
Qualifications: Requires a BS/BA degree in psychology, linguistics, biology, neuroscience, biomedical engineering or related fields, and 0 to 1 year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Past research experience working in a similar lab setting is highly desirable. Experience with statistical analysis and neuropsychological assessment is preferred. The candidate must be able to work independently and have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
