FT Assistant Professor - Manufacturing Engineering Technologies (Regular)

Preferred Qualifications: * Instructional teaching experience in secondary and/or post/secondary education. * Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, metallurgy, chemistry, metrology, or related field. * Experience in a metallurgy/heat treatment lab environment. * Experience in 5-axis, contoured surface, and high speed machining. * Experience in industrial Robotic programming. * Experience in Programmable Logic Controller programming. * Experience in metrology: stationary/portable CCM, SPC, Quality * Software experience with Mastercam, Solid Edge, NX, Unigraphics.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Technologies/related degree and two (2) years recent, relevant work experience, OR Associate's Degree in Manufacturing Technologies/related degree and four (4) years recent, relevant work experience, OR Journey status in a manufacturing trade and four (4) years recent/relevant work experience, OR High School Diploma and eight (8) years recent/relevant documented work experience. **(All required qualifications must be clearly identified within your submitted material to be considered for this position.)**
Responsibilities: For full consideration, please apply by 4/7/17. This faculty member will teach courses in Manufacturing Engineering Technologies (MET) consistent with the evolving state of the discipline and accepted trends in teaching methods. A solid understanding of the machine tool field and mechanical and electrical technologies is desired, including but is not limited to: manual and CNC machining, CNC programming, CAD/CAM and solid modeling, Robotics, Programmable Logic Controllers, and Mechanical Systems. This full time teaching position includes instruction of three to five courses per semester, which could include any of these subjects: * Manufacturing Processes * Precision Machining -CNC Multi Axis * CAD/CAM * Mastercam * Mechanical Systems -hydraulics/pneumatics * Industrial Electrical Systems/PLCs * Robotics * Metallurgy and Heat Treatment * Metrology and Advanced Inspection * Eaton RESA Tech Careers High School Programs (Mechatronics, Machining, etc.) The faculty member will share responsibilities with current full-time faculty for the organization and functionality of the MET Program. Strong communication skills and computer proficiency are a must. The faculty member will participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees, with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. He/she will also participate in curriculum and course development, course and program coordination, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and shared governance of the College.
