Posting Summary:
The Office of Health Promotion in the Department of Student Health at the University of Virginia is seeking a full-time 40 hour a week Peer Health Education Coordinator to advise the Peer Health Educators (PHEs) and the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team (ADAPT). These peer-led groups develop and implement educational programming on college health issues, primarily substance use, sexual health, nutrition, mental wellness, and holistic wellbeing.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse populations;
Strong commitment to the educational purposes of Student Health and Division of Student Affairs, including student-self-governance;
Clear capacity to advise, train, and develop student peer educators;
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
Experience in program and event planning and evaluation;
Experience with qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods;
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes some evenings and weekends
