Job Summary: The University of Georgia's School of Social Work (SSW) invites applications for one non-tenure track open rank Academic Professional position. We are seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate the extended-time MSW and Advanced Standing Programs at our Gwinnett Campus in Lawrenceville, GA. The candidate selected for this position will serve as on-site coordinator for the MSW Program at the Gwinnett Campus with responsibilities that include: 1) overseeing administrative matters relating to the SSW at the Gwinnett Campus; 2) supporting recruitment activities for the Gwinnett MSW Programs; 3) serving as academic advisor and responding to MSW issues for the SSW students at the Gwinnett Campus; 4) coordinating delivery of the MSW curriculum through the MSW Program Director; 5) helping students complete the application to graduate process, and 6) serving as liaison between the MSW Offerings at Gwinnett, the Gwinnett Center, and the SSW. The candidate selected for this position will teach 3 MSW courses at the Gwinnett Campus throughout the year. The MSW Program Director will supervise this position. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have an MSW degree and at least 3-5 years of full-time post-MSW practice experience. Applicants must have at least one year of teaching experience. Applicants must be willing to work some Saturday and evening hours and come to Athens regularly for meetings.
Preferred Qualifications: A doctorate in social work education or related area is preferred. One year prior experience in administration, student supervision and advisement, and a knowledge of the 2015 EPAS standards are also desirable.
