Murray State welcomes applications for Research & Instruction Librarian which will be a liaison to the sciences and agriculture. This is a full-time, 12-month tenure-track position. This position serves in the University Libraries as a Research & Instruction librarian, and is responsible for aiding members of the university community with basic and advanced research needs, teaching subject-specific instruction sessions, and teaching credit-bearing information literacy courses. Liaising specifically with the Jones College of Science, Engineering and Technology, and the Hutson School of Agriculture, this position is tasked with providing scaffolded instructional/information literacy sessions to students and faculty in those disciplines, and representing those disciplines in collection development decisions within the University Libraries. Engages in research & service to support this role and the tenure-track position.
Minimum Education Requirements
American Library Association-accredited master's degree.
Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications
Subject knowledge preferred, but not required.
