DEPARTMENT/DIVISION:  Engineering Technology/ School of Mathematics, Science, and Engineering

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Engineering Technology Department at WCC has a tenure-track opening for an Instructor of Mechanical Technology beginning Fall 2017.  Assignments would involve teaching a variety of first and second year Mechanical courses and developing new course offerings in related areas.  In addition to teaching responsibilities, the candidate is expected to participate in curriculum/organization, laboratory facility development and maintenance, student advisement, departmental and college activities and active involvement in local professional organizations.  Regular teaching load is fifteen (15) contact hours plus a minimum of five (5) office hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS A minimum of a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field and a minimum of one-year college teaching experience are required.  Three years of college-level teaching and/or industry experiences strongly preferred.  Innovative and knowledgeable individuals who love teaching and bring experience in student-focused approached to course design and program development are encouraged to apply.
