The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, is seeking a full-time academic neuropsychologist. This non-tenure track appointment will be made at a rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) commensurate with experience.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical responsibilities include: making diagnostic assessments of candidates for neurosurgical treatment of epilepsy, movement disorders, and deep brain stimulation as part of an interdisciplinary team; treating patients with degenerative adult cognitive disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, traumatic brain injury, and other neuropsychiatric conditions; and making diagnostic assessments of functional neurological symptoms. Faculty are also involved in the teaching and supervision of residents and medical students and developing a research program. Opportunities for seeing patients and conducting research in an outpatient psychology and neuropsychology practice are available.Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have earned a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association, hold licensure as a Psychologist in the District of Columbia, and be eligible for board certification as a Neuropsychologist by the American Board of Professional Psychology at the time of appointment. Experience in the diagnostic assessment of traumatic brain injury, degenerative adult cognitive disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, and other neuropsychiatric conditions is required.Advertised Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience.
