The Department of Family Medicine at the University of Virginia is leading change in our Health System with team-based care models, patient care quality improvement initiatives and process improvement efforts to increase patient safety and operational efficiency. All clinic sites have received Level 3 NCQA recognition. New developments in the UVa School of Medicine include the designation of a core group of clinical teaching faculty with up to 25% protected salary support. Applicants with appropriate experience and training and the desire to balance their clinical care with a significant footprint in medical education are encouraged to inquire.
We seek multiple candidates for full-time tenure-ineligible Assistant, Associate, or Professor positions. Rank is dependent upon experience. Incumbents will be responsible for direct patient care, including inpatient and outpatient care, and teaching and supervision of residents and medical students. Preference will be given to candidates with obstetrical care experience.
Candidates must have an MD and be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine or have a DO and board-certified or board-eligible by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians by start date.
