Position Information: Under the direction of the senior associate dean for research, the biostatistician will provide statistical programming and analysis support to research, education, and clinical projects for the school of medicine. This position requires strong analytic, problem solving, and programming skills to analyze and interpret a variety data from multiple sources. She/he will assist in data collection and sampling strategies; design, plan, and execute statistical analysis; utilize univariate and multivariate statistical procedures; perform complex data analysis (including but not limited to: time-series; hierarchical/multi-level modeling; mediation analysis); derive logical consistency checks; review manuscripts; and ensure accurate interpretation of results. The individual will work with the scientific team and other investigators on multiple research projects, and will summarize results for presentation. She/he will participate in writing as well as manuscript preparation. The biostatistician's role in analysis and manuscript preparation will be acknowledged with authorship according to their effort. In addition to their research roles, the successful applicant will teach biostatistics and epidemiology to medical students and residents.

Minimum Requirements: Skills in project management.

Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.
Ability to recognize and use statistical and medical terminology appropriately.
Thorough knowledge of research function.
Thorough skills in analysis and consultation.
