Systems Engineer-Low Voltage (#19483)
The Audiovisual Systems Engineer is responsible for performing designs, creating and modifying CAD drawings, specifications, sketches, project cost analysis, and technical comparisons as required by assignment.
- Assists in the development of audiovisual system design templates, standards, specifications and guidelines to improve department accuracy and efficiency.
- Attends customer meetings and develops meeting minutes documenting specific system decisions/direction.
- Performs field inspections and provides documentation of audiovisual low voltage system infrastructure.
- Performs field inspections and provides documentation of operational audiovisual systems.
- Acts as a technical resource for MEP team requests/efforts related to designing systems support infrastructure.
- Coordinates with other project team members throughout the design process to ensure electrical, plumbing, mechanical and architectural infrastructure is in place to support audiovisual systems (e.g. racked equipment, displays projector heat loads, room ratings, and pathway and power requirements/topology).
- 4 year Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Computer Technology.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in design and installation of professional audio, video and control systems.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Project Management.
- Infocomm CTS and/or CTS- D Certifications preferred.
- Extron, Crestron, AMX, Biamp Manufacturer Certifications preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is required.
- Knowledge of related Building Codes and related Industry Standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with TIA/EIA Industry standards.
- Proven ability to resolve complex design problems
