The Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University invites applications for a one-year appointment in International Development as a Visiting Professor of the Practice of International Affairs (or Associate Professor of Practice, if appropriate) beginning as early as the fall semester of 2017.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

This position primarily involves teaching M.A. students in the International Development Studies program and includes some administrative work, including assistance with admissions and advising students. teaching load is two three-credit courses and one one-credit course in the fall semester and two three-credit courses in the spring semester. Salary is commensurate with experience. There is a possibility of a one-year renewal.

Minimum Qualifications:

An advanced degree in a relevant social science discipline or interdisciplinary field; significant professional experience and broad expertise in international development policy and programs as evidenced by substantial professional employment in the international development arena (governmental, nongovernmental, international, or private sectors).
