Duties: The Center for Weight and Eating Disorders at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator A. The candidate will help coordinate a Investigator Initiated Drug Trial. The study proposes a randomized controlled trial comparing the use of liraglutide vs placebo in the treatment of binge eating disorder. This is the first evaluation of this medication in the treatment of binge eating disorder.

The CRC-A will coordinate participant screenings and study visits; coordinating regulatory paperwork, training as an assessor as back-up to our main study assessor; documenting and reporting adverse events; preparing study materials and ordering study specific supplies; ensuring protocol adherence & data quality; complete progress and data safety monitoring plan reports; maintaining study charts; and entering study data.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: The minimum of a BA/BS and 1-3 years of clinical trial/clinical research experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required. Must be able to interact sensitively with patients seeking treatment for binge eating disorder. Effective problem solving, communication, and writing skills are required. Must be able to multi-task. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Knowledge of IRB and human research protection regulations.
