Posting Summary:
The Center to Promote Effective Youth Development (Youth-Nex) in the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia is seeking applicants for multiple Research Specialist (Wage) positions. Incumbents work approximately 12 to 15 weeks in the fall of 2016 and the spring of 2017. Incumbents recruit and consent subjects, organize and complete computerized classroom observations, and administer, score and code achievement tests. Work is with subjects/students enrolled in an Institute of Educational Services research project being conducted within participating public school systems in Maryland.

A bachelor's degree is required as are excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Exceptional organization skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations are essential. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with youth in a public school setting. Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between schools in Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Prince Georges County or other participating school systems as needed.
