Job Description

Tutors are an integral part of the success of students in the Red Hawk Mathematics Learning Center (RHMLC) at Montclair State University. The RHMLC is a large classroom/computer lab where several math classes are run concurrently.

• Tutors assist students in classes ranging from Basic Algebra through Calculus and Statistics.

Qualifications & Requirements

• All applicants to the tutor position should have a strong mathematics background through Calculus.

o Note: Applicants with a successful background in advanced Statistics will be considered, without having taken Calculus.

• Tutor's should be friendly and courteous to all students, willing to assist students with questions, have strong communication skills and ability to follow directions of instructors and graduate assistants working in the RHMLC.

Salary Range
Commensurate with Experience.
