Responsibilities

This position assists with daily functions and activities in the Dean's office. Answers main phone line, handles mail pick-up and drop-off, reserves events and meeting space in the law school room scheduling system, generates reimbursement memos, coordinates travel arrangements and processes authorizations and travel reimbursements, creates and maintains files, and conducts research. Provides support for office functions and law school events, including but not limited to: event setup, maintaining RSVP lists, designing and printing name tags, and organizing and printing event materials. Conducts daily inventory of office supplies and merchandise and re-stocks as necessary. Acts as internal and external office runner. Serves as backup for administrative office staff and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

This position requires a High School Diploma and 1 year of experience in a customer service or office setting. Applicants must have be familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) or equivalent software, and Adobe Acrobat or similar software. Knowledge of standard office procedures, equipment and etiquette is essential.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally in writing; to work independently and prioritize work so that deadlines are met; and to maintain an effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and interdepartmental personnel. Must also be able to interact professionally with external constituents such as alumni, legislators and members of the judiciary.

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree and prior work experience in an academic or legal office setting is preferred.

Anticipated Salary Range

Anticipated salary range is $10 - $12 per hour, depending upon experience.

Pay Plan

This is an OPS/temporary Job.

Schedule

Position is full-time, M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
