Job Description: This position is responsible for collaborating with visiting artists to plan, design, and produce fine art projects related to Flying Horse Editions’ program. Other areas of responsibility include care and maintenance of the FHE research studio and equipment, as well as assisting FHE program director with educational, membership, promotional and outreach activities. The person in this position must have exceptional knowledge and experience in the following printing process: photo- and direct-gravure, etching, traditional stone lithography, silkscreen, and complex relief; additionally, must have experience working with high pressure hydraulic presses.

Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma and five years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. If minimum requirements of the position do not require post high school education, an applicant is not required to provide the information on the application.

Preferences: Undergraduate degree; basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel); effective communicator; proven ability to work independently; three or more years experience working as a professional fine art printer; thorough familiarity with Photoshop and Illustrator software; proven success as a collaborator on complex art projects; proven success in creative and technical problem solving.

This position will be required to work a flexible schedule, which may include evening, nights and/or weekends.

Able to lift 75lbs. and to stand for 7+ hours daily.
