The College invites applications for Vice President of Academic Affairs!  The ideal candidate articulates a vision for academic affairs and provides leadership for the academic planning process.  This individual must have the ability both to encourage and enhance college attitudes and be sensitive to the needs of the faculty, staff, and students.  We are seeking a demonstrated record of understanding faculty governance, along with a commitment to equal opportunity, diversity and team building skills.  Must have a proven record of progressive leadership in developing programs in a timely manner to meet business and community needs.  You will provide senior-level, college-wide leadership and direction in all academic areas of the College; promote integration of technology; implement and monitor evaluations of instructional programs.  Responsible for the development, implementation and assessment of quality instructional initiatives.  Serves as a cabinet member that will work together as an executive team to set the strategic direction and initiatives of the College. 

  • Provide senior-level, college-wide leadership and strategic direction for planning, development, implementation, management, and assessment for all instructional divisions/departments to include offerings in degrees, diplomas, and certificates, and to promote, the advancement, and secure support for, alternative learning methodologies, professional development, integration of technology in learning and teaching, instructional resources and educational services, scheduling options for flexible and optimal student learning.
  • Assist the President and Cabinet in the development of partnerships with external agencies, businesses, and educational institutions; provides executive leadership and direction for the operations of all College campuses—Conway, Grand Strand, Georgetown and online programs; responsible for developing initiatives for College-wide implementation, and under the leadership and direction of the President, for organizational changes and directing strategic and budgeting initiatives.
  • Implement programs and monitor the evaluation of instructional programs through quality initiatives; development of program and academic outcomes, curriculum review, program review; identification development, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic effectiveness indicators; support the pursuit and furtherance of College and discipline related accrediting bodies, program development and proposals.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree plus seven (7) years of progressively responsible related work experience.
