Job Description:

The Department of Occupational Therapy, College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida, invites applications for a full-time 12-month postdoctoral associate position. The postdoctoral associate will engage in multidisciplinary research with a focus on driving rehabilitation science in medically at risk populations through the lifespan. This position will provide intensive training and mentoring. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science or a closely related field and are preferably licensed/license-eligible as an occupational therapist in the state of Florida.

The Department of Occupational Therapy (http://ot.phhp.ufl.edu/) is a national leader in occupational therapy education and research. The department has active research programs in the areas of driving rehabilitation and community mobility, and learning disabilities, as well as outstanding academic and training programs that include an entry level Masters in Occupational Therapy program and a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science program. The department is a leader in the NIH-funded K12 Rehabilitation Research Career Development consortium and is home to the Florida Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation; Institute for Mobility, Activity and Participation; and the Center for Research on Telehealth and Assistive Technology.

Advertised Salary:

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Applicants are preferably licensed/license-eligible as an occupational therapist in the state of Florida.
