This position is responsible for managing multiple large dining hall/retail food service locations effectively in order to support the educational mission of the university as well as the mission, goals, and objectives of Department of Housing, Dining, Recreation and Business Services.  This person is responsible for coordinating various administrative aspects of Housing, Dining, Recreation and Business Services food operations.  This position plans, organizes, and directs all activities of multiple large scale full-menu food service operations including a scratch preparation kitchen, multiple customer service stations for dine-in and take-out foods, and one or more dining locations.  In addition, special projects will be assigned by the Director of Dining Services.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

-     Associate’s degree in a related field (Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Dietetics, Management, etc.), 4-6 years of progressive experience in a restaurant or other food service operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

-         Proficient use of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Menus Management System, MICROS and Timekeeping Systems such as Kronos.

 

·     Supervisory experience, with effective oral and written communications among all levels of staff is required.
