Duties: Under the direction of the Faculty and Medical Affairs Manager, the Faculty Coordinator's primary responsibilities will include collaborating on the development of academic reappointment dossiers, writing and implementing academic process guidelines, working with faculty to ensure all curriculum objectives align with teaching expectations of the Perelman School of Medicine including routine maintenance and reporting on assessments of academic evaluations, attendance to regular operations meetings and ability to work in fast-pace environment.
The following outline the main duties for the position:
1. Academic Reappointments - The Department of Radiology has approximately 278 active academic appointments. On average there are 30-35 academic reappointments due for review annually. The Faculty Coordinator will be primarily responsible for the maintenance, tracking and preparation of these appointments.
2. Adjunct Appointments - The Department of Radiology has approximately 23 adjunct faculty appointments. With ongoing needs to maintain collaborative relationships with experts from peer institutions and some of the world's most premier scientific facilities, there is an added advantage to extend adjunct appointments to faculty members from these institutions to enhance innovations in our research missions. The Faculty Coordinator will be primarily responsible for the maintenance, tracking and preparation of these appointments.
3. Visiting Faculty Appointments - Visiting professorships have been in high demands over the last few years. These appointments are time sensitive require knowledge of USCIS regulations. The Faculty Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for our visiting professors and will be responsible for the processing of all visa applications as well as the academic appointment in alignment with Perelman School of Medicine visiting professor appointment guidelines.
4. Faculty Expertise Database System (FEDS) - Serving as an essential tool for documenting the achievements and development of each faculty member's academic career, the Faculty Coordinator will assist with the maintenance of FEDS for radiology faculty.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
