Duties: Supports the day-to-day activities of the Biochemistry Department and other teams of Research Faculty. Ensures strong levels of customer service to faculty and departments being served. Works with 5th floor team to coordinate all research needs including but not limited to, supply orders, pre-award and post-award needs of an assigned portfolio of grants and contracts, coursework and exams, faculty travel reimbursements, committee work assistance and arrangements, scheduling, proofreading correspondence, TA and outside faculty payments, within one or more units. Interacts regularly with and provides high quality customer service to faculty members conducting sponsored research. Ensures adherence to quality standards and all policies and award regulations. Coordinates with relevant individuals to make adjustments to payroll. Communicates with PIs on a regular basis regarding administrative needs. Assists PIs with non-financial report submissions, as necessary. Performs related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 3 years to 5 years related experience. Associates degree, bachelor's degree in science preferred, biochemistry background is highly desirable, and two to three years experience related to an educational research institution OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience preferred. Must be computer literate, possess critical thinking and good organizational skills, be able to anticipate problems and take initiative, as well as pay attention to detail. Database management (Excel) and graphics (PowerPoint, Photoshop, In Design) would be a plus.
