Duties: Reports directly to the Senior Director of Major and Planned Gifts at the Wharton School. The position provides high level administrative support for the Director and up to two major gift officers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: scheduling meetings with donors, prospects, directors and others; coordinating extensive domestic and international travel arrangements and reimbursements; drafting correspondence; and carefully managing and organizing the major gifts officers' schedules and interactions with senior administrators, prospects, donors and faculty. The successful candidate will work on confidential issues as well as ongoing cross divisional projects, including Dean's briefings and travel coordination. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required, Atlas database knowledge a plus. Poise, maturity and excellent judgment are required for this position. On occasion, required to staff events and programs.

This position will work collaboratively as a member of the Development team and larger Coordinator team across External Affairs, and assists with office wide needs, including front desk coverage for office as needed.

Qualifications: A high school diploma and 5 to 7 years of relevant experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. Excellent decision-making and ability to work independently with limited supervision. Knowledge of office procedures required. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and presentations simultaneously under tight deadlines required. Competency with computer software essential: word processing, spreadsheet, database, and PowerPoint knowledge required. Excellent written, organizational, and oral communication skills required. Must have the ability to handle sensitive material and information confidentially. Maturity, poise, judgment, and professionalism are essential. Have the ability to work as a team player and help provide support during events and/or activities when necessary (some evening and weekend work is required). Development experience preferred.
