Position Summary: The Special Education program at Michigan State University is looking for a fixed term Assistant Professor (Ph.D.) or Instructor (M.A.) to join our expanding Graduate Programs in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorders. This is a one-year position with the potential for renewal based on satisfactory performance and continued funding. Desired areas of expertise include teaching applied behavior analysis, supervising students in applied behavior analysis practicum placements, and experience teaching or working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders.

The primary position responsibilities will include: (1) developing course materials and teaching applied behavior analysis and autism spectrum disorder content to graduate students via face-to-face and online courses, and (2) supervising applied behavior analysis graduate students in practicum settings and assisting in securing practicum placements as needed.

This is a 12-month position, beginning May 16, with the potential to be renewed annually based on satisfactory review and continued funding. Faculty: Minimum Qualifications Support Staff: Minimum Requirements An earned doctorate in Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or related field (Assistant Professor) or an earned Master's in Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or related field (Instructor); A Board Certified Behavior Analyst credential; A strong commitment to excellence in teaching and supervision.

Typing Requirements (wpm):

Desired Qualifications: A Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral credential; Experience administering academic instructional programs to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other disabilities; Experience supervising students in practicum settings; Experience teaching online graduate courses; Commitment to working with cross-disciplinary teams.
