Unit Job Summary: The Senior Programmer Analyst - Business Intelligence Developer's primary responsibility is to support the preparation and distribution of the various Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP) data products, databases and applications. Works with Technical Lead; Assists with data load related architecture and technical design; Develops ETL mappings; Development and maintenance of database systems to extract, cleanse, transform, load and maintain data; Ensures compliance with industry best practices; Performs code reviews; Coordinates and develops process automation/job scheduling; Perform testing and defect analysis. Use standard data modeling, data flow, and data documentation tools to analyze, document and present data analysis work. Work closely with user group to understand the business rules of the different domains to ensure user acceptance testing is successful and meet the overall project goals. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design and develop data warehouse processes, including sourcing, loading, transformation, and extraction. Create or implement metadata processes and frameworks. Create supporting documentation, such as metadata and diagrams of entity relationships, business processes, and process flow. Develop data extraction procedures from other systems and/or data sources. Map data between source systems, data warehouses, and data marts. Collaborate with management, business partners, analysts, developers, architects, and engineers to support data quality efforts. Contribute to best practices guidelines based on department requirements and industry standards. Verify accuracy of data, testing methods and the maintenance and support of the historical data platform. Create plans, test files, and scripts for unit and integration testing. Collaborate on enhancements of dimensional data models. SQL development and advanced SQL query writing.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent with a minimum five years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree in computer science or equivalent with a minimum three years of relevant experience required.

Unit Experience: At least two years of overall experience in Business Intelligence technologies required. At least two years of experience with SSIS and SSRS required. At least two years of experience with SQL Server/SQL required. Experience with data warehouse environments, including extensive ETL proficiency required. General experience in the following: C# & Powershell plus proficiency in one of the following required: Master Data Management - Microsoft MDS or Profisee Maestro or Metadata or Workflow (K2 Blackpearl). Experience in the securities and/or financial industry and/or additional education in Finance preferred.

Unit Job Function Competencies: Working knowledge of relational database theory and dimensional database models required.
