The Union Administration at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Marketing Specialist I to join our team. The Marketing Specialist I will assist the University Union Marketing Department by developing and implementing marketing campaigns for University Union related services, supervise the Union Information Desk, routine website maintenance and serving as a back-up for assessment related projects. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: * Research and develop marketing campaigns for services such as Event Scheduling, Gateway and Coliseum. * Deploy campaigns in a timely manner. * Review and assess each campaign's effectiveness in order to determine success and future direction. * Identify community outreach initiatives and other methods of communicating the University Union's services. * Utilize content management system to ensure upkeep and maintenance for the Union's website. * Support Assistant Director and Marketing Specialist II on developing new content for site. * Supervise day to day operations of the Union Information Desk.* Recruit, hire, and train Information Desk Staff to ensure they are up to date on current policies and procedures.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess an Associate's Degree in related field and two years of experience in communications, marketing, advertising, or public relations; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:* Knowledge of the methods, principles, and practices of marketing, advertising, and/or publishing* Ability to visually inspect copy material* Proficiency in MS Office and requisite publishing and graphic design software
