The UNT System Internal Audit Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Administrative Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:This position is either responsible for non-routine administrative support for a unit within a department that includes budget tracking and reporting (larger, more varied accounts), purchasing, travel, correspondence, data compilation, reporting, calendaring/scheduling, website maintenance and property control functions OR performs all of the duties previously listed, except budgetary duties, for an entire department. Duties may include:* Providing other administrative support functions to departments and/or programs that have varying needs based on the nature of specialization.* Position has more ownership of processes, with increased authority for decision making. * Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine. * Resolves most questions, including some where only limited standardization exists. Associate's Degree and two years of office administration experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:* Knowledge of (or ability to rapidly assimilate and retain) institutional operating procedures, organization and policies.* Knowledge of business principles, practices and techniques.* Knowledge of electronic information systems and accounting systems.* Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts.* Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.* Ability to keep complex records; to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.* Strong ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.* Ability to act with considerable initiative.* Supervisory skills.* Excellent written and oral communication skills.* Knowledge of safe working procedures and security measures related to work performed and work supervised.
