* This position is stationed directly out of the Denton High School Campus.The UNT Trio Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Program/Project Coordinator I-Talent Search Advisor I to join our team. The Program/Project Coordinator I will provide workshops and proactive and intense advising and teaching presentations to middle and high school students in the areas of academics, career exploration, financial aid and college enrollment. This person will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of field trips and other events, and maintaining accurate student records/files. This person will serve the students at Denton High School and Calhoun Middle School and will have office space on these campuses. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Meeting the goals and objectives of the Talent Search program. * Recruiting, selecting and serving students within the TRIO target population. * Conducting workshops to meet students' academic and college prep needs. * Coordinating field trips, financial aid parent night and other events for students and parents. * Providing one-on-one and group advising to students and their parents. * Maintaining accurate records within the US Dept of Education guidelines. * Assisting with special projects as directed. * Working some weekend and evening hours. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and two years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
