The Planning and Policy Analysis Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:* Performs routine (journey-level) accounting work which involves maintaining, preparing, posting, and balancing accounting and financial statements, records, documents, or reports.* Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.* Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.* Develop, implement, modify, and document record keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.* Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.* Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel and direct their work activities.* Appraise, evaluate, and inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the description, value, and location of property.* May specialize in some phase of accounting work such as federal funds accounting, property and equipment control, cost, payroll, budgeting, or bond servicing.* Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.* Performs other duties as assigned.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices.
