The Department of Teacher Education and Administration invites applications for Full Professor of Educational Leadership with tenure to begin in Fall, 2017. The successful candidate will join a dedicated Educational Leadership faculty with programs leading to M.Ed., Ed.D., and Ph.D. degrees in Educational Leadership and also to principal certification and superintendent certification. This faculty member will hold the Mike Moses Endowed Chair in Educational Leadership.Besides start-up expenditures and moving expenses, the Mike Moses Endowed Chair provides funds that may be used at the discretion of the endowed chair for administrative support, research assistant/doctoral student support, establishment of research consortiums or collaborations, and presentation of research at conferences and other forums.The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research program of national significance, to procure external funding to support research, to mentor graduate students, and to collaborate with faculty and external agencies to achieve the academic goals of the university. In addition, he or she will be expected to engage in teaching graduate courses in Educational Leadership and to contribute service to the department, College of Education, and the University of North Texas. Summer teaching is contingent on student demand and funding. The successful candidate must be qualified to assume the rank of Full Professor with tenure and must be a leader in his or her field, as evidenced by a strong publishing record and professional activity.
