The Department of Marketing and Logistics at the University of North Texas in Denton invites qualified applicants for a tenure track, full-time faculty position in Operations Management starting September 1, 2016. An earned doctoral degree or successfully defended dissertation in Operations Management or a very closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution is required by time of appointment (September 1, 2016). Primary responsibilities include both research and teaching in operations management at the undergraduate, Masters, and Ph.D. levels. We are looking for candidates with rigorous training in quantitative empirical methods (including survey research, secondary/archival data analysis, event study, experimental design etc.) and who are open to multidisciplinary and multi-method research. Publication/potential to publish in top operations management journals will be looked at very favorably. The applicant should have the ability to teach courses such as operations management, project management, materials management, and quality management. The teaching load is 2 classes per regular semester. The salary is market competitive.University of North Texas is located in Denton TX about 30 miles from Dallas. Denton is a part of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex area which has seen tremendous growth recently.
