University of North Texas Health Science Center - Fitness Center Assistant (Instructor)
* This posting is an hourly position and is non-benefits eligible.The Student Affairs Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Fitness Center Assistant (Instructor) to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:* Establish and maintain excellent customer service and client relations* Respond to suggestions, complaints, needs and interests in a timely manner* Assist in management, training and scheduling of Student Employees * Assist with the daily operations of the Fitness Center including equipment upkeep and cleanliness, as well as facility policy development and enforcement * Assist in planning, implementation and supervision of special events and programs through the Office of Wellness Services* Execute marketing and promotional plans for fitness and wellness services* Attend required department staff meetings and functions * Properly complete all related forms and paperwork * Maintain weekly office hours as instructed by supervisor* Develop short term and long term goals and objectives for areas of responsibility as well as participate in department goal setting* Some Weeknights and Weekend work may be required * Assist with organization and administration of group fitness and personal training programs* Teach 1-5 group fitness classes per week, depending on need* Schedule group fitness instructors and personal trainers * Create flyers and newsletters* Communicate with members via emails, daily news and social media announcements* Other duties as assignedThe University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices.
