Multicultural students account for 15 percent of our student population, a university record and continuing trend.Job Description: -Coordinate and carry out activities concerning admission of graduate students to MS in Veterinary Biomedical Sciences, PhD in Pathobiology, and dual degree DVM/Phd programs
-Respond to inquiries from prospective students
-Respond to questions on graduate program from current students
-Coordinate and collect annual reports of graduate students progress and major professors evaluations
Coordinate and collect evaluations of graduate student's prelim exam and final defense evaluations
Coordinate meetings of the graduate program Director and the Dean with the graduate students
-Coordinate Veterinary Research Scholar Program activities in the summer months, which includes organizing meetings with the DVM students, collecting applications, day to day management of the activities, and collection of survey dataRequired Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Life Science or related field.
Significant prior experience in administrative support or other applicable experiencePreferred Qualifications: Open, positive attitude in support of research and graduate programs, ability to relate to and communicate with all types of people, strong organizational skills, proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, attention to detail, effective and efficient time management, polite and clear phone manner, ability to multi-task, willingness to constantly learn and grow.
