We invite applications for two full-time Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor positions for the 2017-2018 academic year beginning September 1, 2017.

Position Summary

The individuals hired in these positions will be responsible for teaching introductory, higher level undergraduate, and possibly graduate level computer science courses. Duties include six quarter-based system courses per year, advising, and departmental service. Individuals hired are not required to perform research or produce scholarship. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated ability to teach computer science courses. Renewal may be possible based on performance and teaching needs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to teach computer science courses.

Required Qualifications

  • ABD in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach computer science courses.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of previous experience teaching undergraduate courses.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with culturally responsible teaching methods and/or pedagogies to effective engage broadly diverse student populations.
