Position Summary:

Research, evaluate, implement and maintain technical and procedural solutions to secure the college network. This position will be required to work with various Information Services team members and other college employees to provide technical security guidance during the requirements gathering, development, implementation, and support of security related hardware/software. The position is responsible for understanding complex security issues and communicating these issues to both technical and non-technical peers and management. This position shall provide input in the development and enforcement of enterprise-wide security policies and provide innovative suggestions to improve existing processes or create new ones where necessary to improve the security posture of the College.

Salary Range: $66,825-$83,531

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security or related field required

A minimum of 2 years experience working with enterprise network security technologies and products such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, DLP, Identity and Access Management (IAM), VPN, Encryption, Anti-virus, Web-filtering, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).



Preferred Qualifications:

Current certifications in CISSP, SANS GIAC or CCSP highly preferred

Experience deploying, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining one or more complex security tools (SIEM, Log Management, DLP, Intrusion Management, etc.)

Experience with a mix of the following infrastructure technologies: Microsoft (Active Directory, Widows Server 2008/2012, SQL, Windows 7, and Exchange); Linux

Working knowledge and understanding of routing principles and network architecture, protocols and services

Experience with IT security standards, such as ISO 27001, and technology risk management methodologies, such as NIST 800-53, is desirable

Experience with compliance standards such as Payment Card Industry (PCI) is desirable

Ability to work independently
