The Human Services Financial Operations Associate supports the department administrator in all financial matters. The incumbent is responsible for complex, multi-fund source financial reconciliation and undertakes post-award management duties. Additional responsibilities include procurement and accounts payable, and facilitating the labor distribution and effort reporting processes for the department. Finally, the incumbent supports the department administrator in budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis.
College coursework in finance, accounting, or business management is required. At least four years of experience working with financial reconciliation, budget projection, and basic financial reporting and analysis are also required. A degree may substitute for some experience. Familiarity with financial operations such as bookkeeping/reconciliation, general ledger functions, financial aid, and reporting is required. Strong numerical and analytical ability and attention to detail are essential. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required. Must have advanced Excel skills including proficiency in V-lookup, pivot tables, and use of formulas. Certified research administrator is preferred.
