FT Assistant Professor - Nursing (Regular)

Salary Range: Pay based on FT Faculty Pay Schedule
Preferred Qualifications: * Three years of teaching experience at the college level in Nursing theory, lab, or clinical. * Specialty nursing certification. * Experience with simulation utilizing high-fidelity nursing education. * Online teaching experience or Michigan Virtual University certification or equivalent. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including email and electronic calendars.
Minimum Qualifications: **(All required qualifications must be clearly identified within your submitted material to be considered for this position.)** * Master of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited college or university. * Minimum two years of experience working in the field of nursing. * Knowledge and current clinical expertise in a range of acute care areas. * Teaching experience at the college level in Nursing theory, lab, or clinical. * Strong knowledge in pathophysiology, fundamentals, and medical-surgical nursing. * Excellent analysis, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Background knowledge of classroom and student assessment. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS * Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse License. * Current BLS Certification. Responsibilities: Teach courses in the Nursing Program, consistent with current developments in the discipline and teaching methods. Participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. Participate in curriculum and course development, course and program coordination, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and shared governance of the College.
