Job Summary/Basic Function

Maryville University of Saint Louis is seeking a dynamic colleague who demonstrates a commitment to teaching excellence, teamwork, and exceptional service to students and the university. This 11-month tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor position offers an opportunity to teach on campus and online courses in an innovative, cohort-based, practitioner-oriented, doctoral (Ed.D.) program in higher education leadership. Responsibilities include teaching, supervising and advising dissertation research, and actively participating in the curriculum development and growth of the program. Our doctoral program is a year round program and limited summer teaching is expected. The candidate must be committed to fostering a culturally diverse atmosphere for faculty, staff and students.

Priority will be given to candidates who have demonstrated: advising dissertation projects, online teaching and/or course development, commitment to and understanding of diverse students, and broad knowledge of higher education leadership.


Minimum Qualifications

• Earned doctorate and experience in higher education leadership, college teaching, and educational research is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of administrative experience in higher education at the director level or above; and/or experience teaching and advising diverse students in higher education.


Preferred Qualifications

Priority will be given to candidates who have demonstrated: advising dissertation projects, online teaching and/or course development, commitment to and understanding of diverse students, and broad knowledge of higher education leadership.
