Job Summary: The University of Colorado Division of Gastroenterology seeks a part-time, University Staff (non-classified) Administrative Assistant II to provide administrative and program support to the GI and Liver Innate Immunity Programs (GALIIP). The GALIIP is a consolidated unit of programs designed to promote and subsidize new and ongoing research in the area of innate immunity, located at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Responsibilities and duties include arranging all aspects of visiting speakers and faculty recruits; organizing, scheduling, and coordinating meetings and seminars; and communicating all related event details to the attendees and participants. Examples of work performed:
* Manage general administrative operation of the GI and Liver Innate Immunity Programs (GALIIP). * Coordinate leadership faculty availability for scheduling meetings and events. * Create and distribute advertising materials for events. * Schedule conference rooms and room technology setup for seminars and presentations. * Arrange food ordering and delivery when needed for lunch meetings and make restaurant reservations for off-campus meals, ensuring that costs remain within budget and adhere to University policies. * Handle all logistics for visiting speakers and recruits, including booking airline reservations, lodging, and transportation.

Salary and Benefits:

The hiring salary for this part-time (60% FTE) position is $19,605 and is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is eligible for overtime compensation.

Minimum Requirements:

Two years of general clerical or administrative experience, which included at least one year of experience working in a main point of contact role answering questions and providing information. Substitution: College or university course work, appropriate to the work assignment, may substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications: * Prior experience working at a higher education institution. * Experience with CU procurement and accounting software such as CU Marketplace and Concur Travel and Expense System. * Prior experience using a procurement card. * Experience with information systems, financial applications, and website maintenance.
