Technologists are required to carry out toxicology studies using the bacterial mutagenicity technique. Applicants must possess a minimum B.Sc. Degree (Microbiology/Cell Biology) or Diploma in related field, at least one-year experience, with respect to all techniques related to the growth and maintenance of bacterial and mammalian cell cultures.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team to prepare media, plate cultures, enumerate growth and perform bacterial mutagenicity assays as per standard operating procedures, safety principles and test methods. Experience using light or inverted microscope and interpreting slides (minimum 2 years) is preferred.
This individual must be computer literate, possessing both mathematical and organizational skills.
Must be able to work rotating shifts (Days and Afternoons), including weekends.
