Duties: Specialist will load AutoCAD and digital files on the network and in the Facilities Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) database; adding new documents as received or scanned in-house. Hardcopy information will be labeled and shelved. Information received from Capital Project close-outs and other sources will be reviewed for completeness; sometimes requiring follow-up actions with Project Managers or Architects & Engineers. Specialist will utilize E-Builder software as source for closeout materials and communicating with Project Managers. Person will also assist with many of the daily duties of the Facilities Resource Center (FRC) which include making prints and helping customers find documentation located on Resource Center shelves, on the computer network, in the EDMS or in Penn's central archives. As required, person will send out drawings for reproduction, create CDs, and arrange for pickup and delivery.

Qualifications: High School diploma and at least 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Associates degree in Architecture, Facilities or Construction Management, Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent work in a college program is strongly preferred. Construction related course work or experience is a plus.

The candidate should have at least two years experience in an office environment doing CAD or manual drafting, preferably in an architectural setting. Working knowledge of AutoCAD Release 2013 (or later) drafting software is required. Experience with Microsoft Access, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office software and network structure is preferred. Knowledge of Falcon EDMS, Photoshop, E-Builder and Illustrator is a plus. In addition, candidate should be familiar with municipal documentation for utility systems, streets and other urban infrastructure. Candidate should be well-organized and able to work with a wide variety of customers. Position requires candidate to work independently on extensive, detail-oriented projects. Familiarity with the Penn campus, its history and buildings is beneficial.
