About The Unit:

Unit Job Summary: Web Design and Social Media Marketing Assistant reports directly to the Associate Dean of Student Recruitment & Global Outreach. Marketing Assistant will engage partners for Chicago Harris, assist with the creation of content for the admitted student website and recruitment web pages, blogs and social media assets (including infographics) to promote enrollments in Harris programs.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree

Unit Experience: Experience in website design/maintenance and social media publishing Experienced writer Ability to collaborate with diverse constituents Must be responsible, demonstrate a strong work ethic and problem solving skills. Possess a positive attitude willingness to take initiative. Experience with Photoshop preferred.

Unit Job Function Competencies: Strong technical skills evidenced by proficiency in common office productivity software applications and deploying technical tools to improve processes and capabilities required. Experience composing written communications and editing and proofreading material written by others required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required. Ability to handle public contacts with courtesy, clarity, and diplomacy required. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information with absolute discretion required. Ability to maintain calm and courteous demeanor and to work productively despite heavy workload, competing priorities, complex problems, and tight deadlines required. Considerable skill in working both independently and as a team member required. Ability to take initiative and organize and complete projects with minimal supervision required. Experience working with faculty recruitment in a University setting preferred.
